OVERVIEW

This feature article, originally published by Diablo Valley College’s student-run newspaper, The Inquirer, appeared online and in the college’s print magazine, Ink. For my portfolio, I rewrote the article, redesigned the magazine layout in Figma, and incorporated additional award-winning original photography.

The revision sharpens the environmental angle and demonstrates my ability to develop creative nonfiction and apply a professional writing standard (AP), while elevating the story through writing and visual design.
